Excursions vary in the time required and difficulty level.
Constantly changing weather conditions necessitate carrying
rain gear, plenty of water, and something to eat. Bug
repellent and sturdy boats are also recommended for most
hikes. Never hike alone and always tell a friend or neighbor
where you're going and when you'll be back.
